Lasers + Lights

IPL or Intense Pulsed Light is a treatments that works to rejuvenate your skin and visibly reduce skin imperfections.

Delivering intense pulsed light to the skin and is absorbed by unwanted skin pigmentations (brown spots and redness), causing the pigment to shatter and seal the surrounding small blood vessels. The heat energy of the laser stimulates new collagen production, firms the skin and reduces skin pore size, resulting in a more perfect looking skin.

Immediately following your treatment you may feel “sunburnt” and the treated area may be red for several hours.

Clients who have pigmentation will notice the pigment darken after the treatment. The pigmentation hardens and flakes off gradually over the next 5-7 days.

This can treat anywhere where the sun has caused damage and abnormal pigmentation e.g. the face, chest, neck and hands.

How Many Treatments Are Recommended?

Improvements can be seen with every treatment, but a course of 3-6 treatments is recommended every 4 weeks from maximum results.

Active FX and Deep FX are Lumenis’ CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser.

The CO2 laser is the industry-wide gold standard for skin resurfacing, It is designed as a one treatment option to correct aged and sun-damaged skin (including the delicate eye, neck and chest regions). The CO2 laser has the benefit as an effective, non-surgical way to dramatically tighten and smooth loose skin, and remove years from your appearance. Studies have shown that CO2 treatments can lower the risk of the most common types of skin cancers.

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Light therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light that penetrate down to the dermal layer of your skin, stimulating the mitochondria in your cells, which in turn increases the natural production of collagen and fibroblasts.

LED lights are also proven to activate the lymphatic system which helps carry waste out of the body. These specific low level wavelengths of light have also been shown to be a powerful anti-aging tool by lowering the effects of oxidative stress and free radical damage, the two most common causes of aging skin. It is quickly becoming one of the safest, quickest, most affordable ways to achieve younger, more vibrant looking skin. As an adjunct to some of the more invasive services, LED light therapy is very beneficial as it speeds healing of bruises, swelling and helps jump-start the process of tissue repair and recovery. Each treatment takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes and is extremely relaxing.
